Cookie Policy
Last updated: 27 August 2026
This policy explains how Spotless Solutions uses cookies and similar technologies, including browser storage, when you use our website, Business Account, Client Portal and Staff Portal.
Cookies and similar technologies can remember information on your device or read information already stored there. UK rules governing this include the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 as amended, including changes made by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025.
1.Technologies We Use
Spotless may use:
- Cookies used by the application or authentication infrastructure
- Local storage used to remember selected settings or portal context
- Session storage used for temporary application state
- Security or authentication tokens needed to keep an authorised user signed in
These technologies may be set directly by Spotless application code or by infrastructure that is necessary to deliver the service.
2.Strictly Necessary Storage
We use storage where it is necessary to provide a service requested by the user, keep an account authenticated, protect the service, prevent misuse, route a user to the correct portal or preserve essential application state.
Blocking strictly necessary storage may prevent login, payments, protected pages or other core functionality from working correctly.
3.Preference and Functionality Storage
Spotless may remember interface choices you make so the application behaves as requested. Examples currently include the following types of information:
- Sidebar open or closed state. The application currently uses a sidebar_state cookie with a lifespan of up to 7 days.
- Appearance or theme preferences where selected by the user.
- The most recently used branded business portal so the user can be returned to the correct portal.
- Cached public branding information used to display a business-branded Client Portal consistently.
Some of this information may be held in local storage rather than a traditional cookie and may remain until it is replaced, cleared by the application or removed through your browser controls.
4.Analytics and Advertising
Spotless application code does not currently deploy advertising pixels or optional behavioural advertising cookies. We do not currently use browser storage to build advertising profiles of Business Account, Client Portal or Staff Portal users.
Our infrastructure may process limited technical logs needed for security, diagnostics and service operation. If Spotless introduces optional analytics, advertising or another purpose that requires consent or an objection mechanism, we will update this policy and provide the required choice before using that technology.
5.Stripe and Other External Services
When you leave Spotless for a Stripe-hosted checkout, billing portal or other externally hosted service, that provider may use its own cookies or storage technologies under its own policy.
Those external technologies are controlled by the relevant provider, although Spotless limits integrations to services needed for the feature being used.
6.Your Choices
You can use your browser controls to delete or block cookies and other site data.
You can also change Spotless preferences, such as appearance settings, through the relevant application controls. Clearing local site data may reset those choices and may require you to sign in again.
Where UK law allows preference or statistical storage without consent only if users are given a simple means of objecting, we will provide an appropriate control when we rely on that exception for a feature.
7.Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when the technologies used by Spotless or applicable rules change. The current revision date will be shown at the top of this page.
